TSU deserves better than this. Too many people have considered TSU their private piggy bank, and the students are the ones who suffer. But leadership starts at the top, and with the bad example set by Slade, et al, it's not surprising that others followed their lead. Getting rid of some of the people is a good start, but more is needed so that TSU can live up to its potential.

I've sat and read all of the comments that have been written. First let me say that I am pleased with this website because it gives us an opportunity to vent and say what's on our mind. Yes this website was set up fubu and we do need to respect ourselves and leave the n word out. If we stop then other people will stop. I believe in Dr. Slade and hope that she is found not guilty. She took an antequated school out of the 19th not 20th but 19th century and brought it into the 21st century. How did she do that well it takes money and with her brilliance and articulation along with her charismatic attitude the good ole boys heard her and began writing checks. Everyone is saying what she has spent (everyone has a figure)but is anyone saying how much she has brought to this school? Dr. Slade if you read any of this please know that you are in my prayers and I stand wity you 110%. Thank you for making this university a better place. And with God on our side Dr. Bobby Wilson nor Dr. Paige will become our president.
Can we keep digging? Because I believe that there is not one department on the TSU campus that is operating with honesty. Lets just take my department for example. I must work for the craziest b*tch on God's green earth. She is no way qualified for her position, but because she bends over (or spread them) for GG at will, she's sitting pretty thinking that Directorship equates to Godship. Tell me TSU, how is that this department can't ever pay its debts. That people have to send emails from here to kingdom come to get the 50 cents they are owed, but some how she mananges to have thousands of dollars worth of equipment at her house. There have been several lap tops and computers stolen out of this department, but not one report filed with the police department. Why, I say, why does she have more equipment at her house than on campus? Why has this person been reported several times for cussing out her employees, for descrimination in the work force, and people keep turning their heads? Why is TSU suppose to be an equal opportunity institution, but this crack head openingly make statements that she's only hiring non-blacks and people who did not attend TSU? Why has this woman forced students to work 40 hours a week but only pay them for 20 hours? Why have employees found themselves working positions and not being paid for months and the only suppliment they get is a sorry? Why does this Ahole get published in the New York Time making crazy statements about blacks and black institutions, but no body does a thing? And yes people, SHE B COLORED! But perhaps she's had that white stick massaging her insides too so much she thinks she white too! Who knows. But somebody lift the rock! The whole place needs to be re-evaluated. when will something be done with Wilson's nephew and the rest of his family there making six figures and he (Abner)don't have a masters degree. This woman, in the course of 3 years has had 13 employees leave out of the department. Some left with grace, some still lenger around, some ran, and some had to be taken out kicking and screaming. Now if you do the math, you would see that for a department of 25 (and no we will not count the student workers that she treat like full time employees) the turn over rate is out of control! Wouldn't this draw a red flag for HR?

The lives and careers of a lot of really good people have been silently, carelessly and forever ruined by this administration and its corrupt followers (Slade, GG, DN, BW, JTG, OG, Bd of Regents, Counsel,etc). You expect to be treated like second class citizens by "others" because there is no such thing as equality and Dr. King's dream of color of skin not representing the content of someone's mind or character has not become a reality. But it is very hard to accept that dedicated people, our brightest and best who come back to honestly give to our community are rejected by our own and mediocre, brown nosers (extended family members included) are the preferred status quo at TSU. We still have slave induced racism and slave mentality among ourselves and unfortunately it appears to be out of control at what started out to be a monument in the Black Community, TSU.
Old Guard, get all the facts straight. Talk to the students, professors, people in the trenches and non-six figured income people and listen to everybody before you jump out there to defend anyone. New Guard, respect your elders. Take the good they have done, remember they are referencing what used to be true and we can improve upon it. It is indeed true that Veon McReynolds was made Director of Institutional Effectiveness after being interim for the last 3 1/2 years.As a matter of fact the day she appointed him dumb ass interim direcotr he was on the floor of his office in HH315 sleep.I never knew that sleeping was a part of job description,but who knows it could fall under other duties as assigned. He would still be interim if he had not suggested to Gayla that the Administrative Assistant and Research Analyst be fired. In truth the two of them were fired for associating with the TSU three. If Gayla had the since God gave her she would have known that you are supposed to keep you enemies close. Not surround yourself with people who are scared and refuse to use the mind God gave them.
